Emojis serve as the memes and .gifs of instant messengers, but some times it can be hard to convey the diverse range of human emotions with the stifling quantity of emojis available.

Catering to that need, Unicode, the industry standard that regulates text across the different software platforms, has updated with 250 new emojis, according to the Unicode Consortium.

But don’t go looking for the shiny new icons just yet, Unicode says it is up to the platform holders like iOS and Android to implement the new standard, so it might be a while before the new range is available to users.

Until then, here’s a taster of what’s to come:
