Alcatel might not exactly be the most premium brand of smartphones in the market right now, but slowly and surely it is becoming the go to brand for budget smartphone users. The latest phone from Alcatel however, will only cost you $69.
The brand new Alcatel Fierce 4 is a 5.5 inch smartphone with HD screen resolution and a display that is more vibrant than expected. It comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB on storage which can be expanded via an SD card. It comes with an 8MP rear camera.
The most surprising feature of this phone however, is that it comes rocking Android Marshmallow 6.0 out of the box. We are still not sure of a device running for $69 would be capable of rocking Marshmallow with enough grace. However, its the price of the phone that will get it attention. On the other hand Marshmallow OS requires quite a bit of resources to run, meaning lower specced phones can struggle to stay operational. Unlike other budget devices, this one appears to be designed to run Marshmallow right off the bat, so maybe user experience will be better than we’re expecting.
The device is now available to MetroPCS customers and will arrive on T-Mobile by 2017.
