iPhone 8 beats both the iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X in benchmarks
Apple Pay officially coming to United Arab Emirates
iPhone X, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone 8 are the first smartphones that can record 4K video at 60FPS
iPhone 8 rumors and leaks have become so popular that even Apple has started responding to them. The company just confirmed two previously rumored features.
Firstly, the bezel-less display is confirmed for the iPhone 8. Thanks to an icon within code for the new HomePod speaker firmware, which has been found by found by iOS app developers Steve Troughton-Smith and Guilherme Rambo. The icon shows an expanded, edge-to-edge screen – thought to be a 5.8-inch AMOLED display – with no top bezel and no home bottom whatsoever, allowing Apple to make a bigger display.
The second leak confirmed that 3D facing-scanning technology is indeed coming to the iPhone 8. According to developer Troughton-Smith, there seems to be certain code that indicates an infrared face unlock, and it belongs to something new called 'BiometricKit.' This will allow users to bypass their iPhone lock screen and use Apple Pay, but we dont know if this will replace TouchID entirely.
We will have to wait till the launch date to know more, but expect more leaks anyway.
