Mac users running OS X Mavericks are require to install the 10.9.2 update. The update introduces various new features, including the ability to make and receive FaceTime audio calls along with bug fixes on the Mail and Safari apps. It also lets you block incoming iMessages from individual senders, previously only available on iOS 7 devices.
It also resolves a major security flaw that could potentially let hackers gain access to sensitive content remotely. The bug is present on iOS devices as well but was already resolved following the release of iOS 7.0.6.
However, despite the release of the patch, user are still reporting that the Mail is experiencing errors. Worse, some are saying the Mail app keeps crashing and is unusable. As of press time, Apple hasn’t released a statement on the issue.
