HP Launches ElitePad 900 Business Tablet in the Middle East

At an all-day enterprise event today HP officially introduced the ElitePad 900 to the Middle East market. The Windows 8-powered tablet is specifically designed for the enterprise environment, and is meant to offer much better security and deployment options that current consumer tablets that are available in the market.
With keynotes from members of HP, Microsoft, and Intel, the presentations highlighted the various benefits of the ElitePad, focusing on its streamlined design, durability, and long-lasting battery. The ElitePad also features unique design accessories known as 'Smart Jackets', which snap onto the ElitePad to provide additional functionality and connectivity options. The ElitePad was demonstrated across a variety of industries, including healthcare, retail, and government applications.
A key presence during the day was Kevin Griffiths, Senior Vice President Cabin Crew for Emirates Airline, who discussed how the airline has been working closely with HP to run a pilot program that puts an ElitePad in the hands of a purser on each flight to more easily manage crew and passenger information.
