HTC has officially announced (at least in China) the polycarbonate version of the HTC One M8. With an all-new plastic body, the HTC One E8 should cost lesser than its aluminum counterpart. The specifications and features will all remain, like the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage and a microSD card slot. It will however lose the dual lens setup of the M8, and instead stick with a single 13 megapixel camera along with the same 5 megapixel front facing camera.
It also loses the IR blaster so you won’t be able to use as a universal remote control. It will be available primarily for the Chinese market with dual SIM card slot options, and will come in colors of white, red and black.
