Popular social media platform Instagram will be getting a new update today which will bring some changes to the comments section.
The new update will allow users to control comments in new ways. Earlier, Instagram launched the ability to filter comments based on particular keywords, however, these two new features will improve this experience. Users will soon be able to turn off comments for individual posts, a feature earlier available only on a small number of accounts. This can be done by going to “Advanced Settings” before you post and then select “Turn Off Commenting.”
Those who have private accounts will also be able to delete followers now, which users could not do before without blocking them. To do it, all you have to do is go to your list of followers and tap the ... menu next to any person's name. The person will not be notified that you removed them as a follower. The update will also allow users to anonymously report anyone, which will be viewed as soon as possible by the Instagram team.
Its not all about deleting comments and followers though. The update will also allow users to like comments by pressing a heart icon next to any comment.
