LG G6 to launch on April 7th in US
LG G4 and V10 to get Android Nougat
LG G6 has a very ‘hard to scratch’ glass and metal finish
LG's next upcoming flagship, the G6, is just a few weeks away, and we are still getting rumors. The latest rumor, suggests we might see the largest battery on any phone, but wont be removable.
According to a report from ETNews, an official at a carrier who claims the LG G6 is undergoing network testing, says that the phone has a 3,200mAh battery. However, it wont be removable, which is a first in the G series, since the first Optimus G in 2012. The source claims the phone is also water resistant, so that’s likely the reason the battery is now baked into the phone itself.
Although some will be disappointed that the battery is not removable, what matters is the upgraded size. Both the LG G3 and LG G4 featured 3,000mAh batteries, while the modular design of the LG G5 saw the capacity in the cell drop to 2,800mAh. However, having a large battery does not gurantee improved battery life though, however we will test it out when we get a review piece.
LG is planning a press conference on February 26 in Barcelona right before Mobile World Congress 2017, where we expect to see the LG G6 for the very first time.
