At Computex this year, MSI revealed a complete line-up of next generation X299 motherboards. These include popular models from MSI’s Enthusiast, Performance and Arsenal GAMING Series, thus resulting in a motherboard for any type of gamer, enthusiast or case modder.
The first in the line is the MSI X299 Gaming M7 ACK, which is targeted at gamers and PC enthusiasts who love performance. It comes with a 10 phase DigitALL premium power design with Loadline Calibration and MSI’s Turbo Socket, even the most demanding overclockers are challenged to push the new M7 to its limits. With this mother board, MSI has introduced a new feature, the M.2 Shield FROZR, which acts as the built in thermal solution. You also get Audio Boost 4 PRO, which comes with two dedicated HD audio processors with amplifiers to use headphones and speakers at the same time. In terms of customization, the M7 comes with Mystic Light RGB, with 16.8 million colors and 17 LED effects.
MSI then announced the X299 Gaming Pro Carbon AC, which is the first motherboard with fully exchangeable heatsink covers and X-Mounting accessories for 3D printing and modding, along with Mystic Light RGB LEDs. The Pro Carbon comes with a 10 phase DigitALL premium power design, Loadline Calibration and Turbo Socket which come together with high class TITANIUM Chokes 2, resulting in superior performance. You also get 2x M.2 Shield v2, which will ensure that PCI-Express SSD will deliver maximum performance by keeping it cool, preventing throttling. With Turbo M.2 and Turbo U.2, simply connect any of the latest generation NVMe based SSDs with ease, providing you a lighting fast storage transfer experience.
MSI also announced the X299 Tomahawk, which comes with stainless steel heatsinks with a steel armor design. The Tomahawk also gets the M.2 Shield FROZR similar to the other models. You also get Turbo U.2 with Steel armor, and front USB type C. MSI’s exclusive VR boost and VR readiness ensures high performance VR gaming as well.
Finally for those who demand the most professional performance, you can opt for the new X299 SLI Plus, which is designed for greater efficiency. A successor to the X99A SLI Plus, this new SLI PLUS features premium power phases and uses Military Class VI components, to make this is the strongest SLI PLUS MSI has ever built. The X299 SLI PLUS adopts premium Dual Intel® LAN, optimized for maximum transfer speeds by reducing CPU overhead and offering exceptionally high TCP and UDP throughput. It comes with 15KV protection, and also shields your network from lightning strikes and static electricity. With the System Saver design, users will never have to worry about a system issue.
