Apple releases OS X v10.8.3 and adds Windows 8 support for Boot Camp

Apple's recently released update for OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.3 adds quite a few bits of much needed improvements and features. One the major updates is support for dual-booting into Windows 8 using Boot Camp. This update also brings Boot Camp support to the new 3TB drives.

Another cool new feature is the direct scanning of iTunes Gift Cards using the built-in cameras on Macs to redeem them on the Mac App Store. And while the update comes with many bug fixes, including a handful for Safari with the new 6.0.3, one of the more interesting bug fixes is one for "a file URL to quit apps unexpectedly". Could this be for the infamous eight characters crash we reported last month?
