ASUS launches the all AMD powered U38N laptop in UAE
Yesterday ASUS unveiled their brand new AMD powered U38N sleekbook, which, for all intents and purposes is an ultrabook competitor. Akin to the Zenbook, the U38 is a business focused laptop with a beautiful brushed aluminum unibody, backlit keyboard and a 13.3-inch touchscreen. The display itself is an IPS panel capable of being viewed at angles up to 178° and supports a Full HD 1080p resolution.
Within the chassis lies an AMD heart, the A8-4555M APU running at 1.6GHz with a built-in Radeon HD 7600G graphics card with dedicated 512MB RAM. The system itself has 6GB DDR3 RAM and comes with a 500GB HDD along with a 64-bit version of Windows 8. Lastly the B&O ICE Power speaker system also adds to the allure of the U38N. The total package can be had for AED 2,999. Unfortunately the AMD A10 powered version with 128GB SSD will not be sold in UAE.
The ASUS U83N will be going on sale later this week at the Abu Dhabi Electronics Shopper from 14th to 18th March at ADNEC. We'll have a review out for it early next week, so keep an eye out!
