Egypt court issues ruling to ban YouTube in Egypt

A ban on YouTube for one month has been issued by Egypt’s Administrative Court as reported by The Scenario. According to them, the ruling was issued on the back of the anti-Islamic American film of last year and the Minister of Communication has been instructed to enforce the ban. However, The Scenario doesn't see the ruling coming into effect.

It would certainly be interesting to see what comes out of this considering the role that Wael Ghonim, an employee of Google that owns YouTube, played during the Egyptian revolution that brought about the change of Government- a revolution where Social Media played a huge role.
