HP reveals 7” Android tablet retailing at $169
It seems that HP isn't quite ready to give up the tablet dream just yet. While the company announced an enterprise-side tablet some time ago in the form of the ElitePad, HP is once again hitting the consumer tablet market in the form of the HP SLate 7, a seven-inch tablet that will run...Android.
The $169 tablet features an ARM Dual Core Cortex-A9 1.6 GHz processor running Android 4.1, with 8GB of on-board storage and support for microSD cards. It also sports a 3-megapixel rear camera as well as a front-facing camera, and has a display resolution of 1,024 x 600. The tablet will also feature HP's ePrint technology to print to HP printers through most apps on the tablet, as well as its popular beats audio technology.
The Slate 7 will be released in silver or red, and is said to be available from April 2013.
