iPhone 5S launching in August?

As the new year moves forward, rumors and news from "trusted sources" have kicked into the highest gear regarding Apple and their release of their updated iOS devices. In particular their lineup of iPads will supposedly be hitting the stores as soon as April according to iMore. The info does seem plausible as Apple has historically released new iterations of their iPad lineup around late March or early April; last year's iPad 4 and iPad mini being the exception.

While there's nothing specific about the new iPad 5, improved hardware in terms of processor and RAM is certainly expected. As for the iPad mini, a Retina Display still seems out of the equation for the time being. Apart from a better battery life, there's not much to improve on the current model as using the iPad 3 processor would be overkill for a non-Retina display.

The other major bit of news is that the iPhone 5S will be launching a couple of months later in August. The iPhone 5S will come in a slightly slimmer boy than the current iPhone 5, a better camera and of course a faster processor. The build quality will also see some improvements as well. It remains to be seen what major improvements Apple can bring to the table as the smartphone wars seems to be falling out of favor with them and their 6 year old look of the iOS.
