Job listing from Microsoft confirms Windows Blue and Windows Phone Blue

A recent job listing on Microsoft's career website sheds some light onto the upcoming release of Windows 8's major update patch. Not exactly an overhaul, the new update is currently dubbed as 'Windows Blue' according to ZDNet. The job listing aims to cover front-end UI improvements as well as changes applied behind the scenes. Mostly everything is taken from user feedback since the final release of Windows 8 last November.

"We’re looking for an excellent, experienced SDET to join the Core Experience team in Windows Sustained Engineering (WinSE). The Core Experience features are the centerpiece of the new Windows UI, representing most of what customers touch and see in the OS, including: the start screen; application lifecycle; windowing; and personalization. Windows Blue promises to build and improve upon these aspects of the OS, enhancing ease of use and the overall user experience on devices and PCs worldwide."

Furthermore another listing sourced through Twitter shows Windows Phone Blue update coming out for Windows Phone 8 as well.

In this instance the focus is on the job listing for Excel MX, and app that would run natively for Windows Phone. The time for updating all the various versions of Windows 8 is supposedly summer of this year. We'll keep you updated on more information as official word from Microsoft is out regarding Windows Blue.
