Microsoft briging Surface tablets to more countries
Microsoft has recently announced that their Surface tablets will launching in new countries around the world. So far the Surface RT and Surface Pro tablets have been limited to North America.
The Intel Core i5 powered Surface Pro, which comes with a full version of Windows 8 and is capable of running regular Windows based programs, will now be available in Australia, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Meanwhile the ARM powered Surface RT will be coming to Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Russia, Singapore and Taiwan.
The Surface RT 32GB retails for $499 with the 64GB version for $599. The Surface Pro retails for $899 for 64GB version while the 128GB sells for $999. Unfortunately no word yet on Middle East availability of Microsoft's Surface tablets, but given the expansion into key markets, it wont be long before UAE also gets the Surface tablets.
