Native Instagram app probably won’t come to BlackBerry 10
While local retailers may be fawning over the BlackBerry Z10, on the developer side things are looking very different.
Instagram, one of the world's most popular photo-sharing apps on iOS (and now on Android) has hinted that it probably won't be releasing a native app for BlackBerry10. According to a source speaking to AllThingsD, the company isn't really interested in developing an app for BB10, however a port of the Android version of the app may be released in the future. While ported applications will run just fine on a BB10 device, they may not offer the full functionality as a native app would, or take advantage of BB10 features.
Another popular application WhatsApp is still to make its debut on the BB10 platform, despite working on previous BlackBerry devices. And now with the lack of Instagram, it seems that BB10 users will need to find another way to blur out and share images of their pets and what they're eating.
