Report: iWatch Will Run Full iOS, May Release This Year

According to a Bloomberg report, Apple's forthcoming watch, allegedly called the iWatch, will release this year and run the full version of the iOS. Bloomberg says the watch project has been a favorite of Apple designer Jony Ive, who reportedly bought "boxes" of Nike sports watches for his team to study a couple of years ago.

The report was corroborated by The Verge, who added that Apple's main stumbling block with the watch project is battery life. The iWatch should ideally last 4-5 days between charges, however, Apple is unable to squeeze out more than a couple of days.

Another hurdle Apple is facing is designing an interface for the iPhone. Apparently, the iOS has "several hooks for supporting a watch-like device"  but lacks an appropriate interface or settings that connects the two devices.
