Samsung Unveils Galaxy Note 8.0 Phablet

Samsung today took the wraps off Galaxy Note 8.0, an 8" tablet that can also make and receives calls. Yes, it would be weird to hold an 8" device to our face, but let's not look for logic here.

For a smartphone tablet phablet, the Note 8.0 packs some serious power: it runs on a 1.6Ghz quad-core Exynos 4 processor, 2GB of RAM, with a pleasing 1280x800 189ppi display. The Note 8.0 will sport Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean with the requisite TouchWiz interface. The device will be available in two variants: 32GB and 64GB.

Samsung didn't reveal a price yet, but those looking forward to the device can expect it sometime in Q2 of this year.
