Steam Now Has More Windows 8 Users Than XP
Though Valve creator Gabe Newell has been vocal about his criticism for Windows 8, that hasn't stopped users of Steam to embrace the platform slowly.
The results of a survey by Steam shows that the amount of Windows 8 users on the platform (32 and 64-bit) have added up to 9.63 percent of Steam users, eclipsing the 8.76 percent of Windows XP users as of January 2013. Though the adoption is slow, it's on the rise for Microsoft's new platform with gamers even though Steam doesn't support the Metro UI natively yet. Windows 7 still reigns by a wide margin, though.
