Tejuri - the new e-Shopping Mall in the UAE
If stats are to be believed, Internet usage and subsequently, online spending is growing rapidly in the region (over 1500% in the last decade, apparently). It's an opportunity for the talking for eCommerce services to grow. Sites like Jadopado and Aido.com have all captured their fair share of the market by providing products that are easy to purchase online and are timely delivered. Now, there is a new kid on the block - Tejuri, which it claims is the "first e-Shopping Mall" in the UAE.
The concept is not alien for users in the region - Tejuri covers a wide range of products including electronics, fashion, furniture, health, and sports, all fueled by over 40 "international and local retailers" including Sharaf DG, Eros, Jumbo, Grand Optics, National Stores, etc. It's pretty similar to the Souq.com of recent.
“Tejuri.com is a natural extension of Dubai’s world-class retail industry. People flock to our malls as we offer a large selection of products in a variety of brands and Tejuri allows consumers to tap into the same products and services, with the click of a button. By offering such variety in choice, we are able to replicate and enhance the mall experience, providing consumers with a shopping experience that is convenient and secure,” stated Ayaz Maqbool, Managing Director, Tejuri.
Tejuri is now online and ready to be shopped at. The site seems to offer pretty much all of the products you would expect from the local retailers, although of course, it's a newly launched site and the product database will only grow.
