The New Pope? There’s an App For That!
The election of the new pope has been quite a popular topic in the news this month, with Pope Francis finally being chosen to lead the Roman Catholic Church through modern times. One attempt the Church has recently made to identify with their increasingly modern and tech savvy followers is the release of The 'Pope App', a mobile app for iOS and Android devices. The Pope App has been designed so that users can track developments in Vatican City and the new Pope's activities since being elected. The app also offers video from Vatican TV, a Twitter feed and users can also use it to find news, speeches, images and video galleries related to the Church.
The official report on the app from Reuters.com is below:
The Pope App is available on Google Play and the App Store for download. Would you try it out?
