Tweet to Fire This Paintball Gun
Twitter has exploded into one of the most popular social media websites in the world. It's become a go-to source for news and entertainment, as well as a great way to connect with people and brands from around the world.
But every so often, someone does something with Twitter that makes you scratch your head trying to figure out what they were thinking. In this case, I'm talking about Paintbot, a Twitter-activated modified paintball gun that shoots when people tweet at it.
Simply bash out a tweet with the hashtag #islpaint, and the paintball gun will fire out a pellet at a poor whiteboard that's just standing there and taking the abuse.
The contraption from iStrategyLab is part of a series of 'social machines' that the company is experimenting with, to see how social media interaction can have real-life influences. Forget that, I'd love to hook this thing up in my office for some much-needed office discipline.
