Your Favourite Artists on YouTube – ft. a Goat.

The latest parody craze to hit YouTube is happening with the help of a goat. Since the past few weeks, videos of popular songs that have been edited to include a goat ‘baa-ing’ in the middle, have gone viral. The goat appears in any strategic place where the artist says something like “yeaaaa” so instead there is now a goat saying “baaaaa” in the edited video. The hilarity probably arises partially from the fact that a particularly un-photogenic goat appearing in an otherwise extremely polished video seems positively ludicrous. Songs that have been “goat-ified’ like this include recent hits like Taylor Swift’s Trouble video (below), with the goat edition showing a whopping 7 million views* in just 4 days since being uploaded. Old hits like Psy’s gangnam style and Rebecca Black’s Friday have not been spared either, with each goat edition video of these songs receiving more than 10,000 views in just one day.

My personal favorite is the Goat-ified version of Miley Cyrus’s Party in the USA. Don’t find them hilarious? Why not listen to goat editions of songs you hate - like those by One Direction (now being uploaded as ‘Goat Direction’!) or those by Justin Beiber - and love to hate them even more!

*the video was so popular, the original uploader actually filed a copyright claim, and now the original video(above) has 4 million+ views and counting!
