Switch controller in trouble

Nintendo Accused Of Copyright Theft

Nintendo's handheld gaming tablet-console combo, the Switch, is reportedly facing a lawsuit, that claims that certain elements of design are too similar to a concept patented by Gamevice, a gaming accessory manufacturer.

The lawsuit talks about how the Switch mimics a lot of Gamevice's Wikipad, an Android tablet that loosely resembles the Switch, as well as the company's gaming peripherals which are similar to the Joy-Con, Switch;s detachable controllers. The only difference is, these controllers operate on your Apple or Android smart device.

The terms of the suit are quite high. It includes damage returns, and ban of all Switch sales, which could be a massive blow for Nintendo, considering how successful the console was, and how well it performed. We will know more once this develops.
