Today we find out how well the 8800 Ultra stacks against two Radeon 2900XT cards in a Crossfire configuration.

Sure, the 8800 Ultra will consume lesser power than two 2900XTs and take lesser number of slots but we’re not going to argue about that today. The purpose of this article is pure and simple- if you are to spend $800 on graphics cards, would a single 8800 Ultra yield better performance than two HD 2900XT cards in Crossfire mode?
