Today. we take a look on MSI’s upcoming P45 Diamond motherboard that is equipped with Intel latest Eagle Lake chipset aka P45. The new chipset brings official support for 1333MHz FSB along with the option to use DDR3-1333MHz. We say option as the chipset also supports DDR2-800MHz and the motherboard manufacturer can decide which way to go. In MSI’s case, the P45 Diamond is their highest-end P45 board and thus, it’s no surprise to see it equipped DDR3 slots.

MSI certainly uses a pretty huge and heavy box for their P45 Diamond . MSI does a good job of outlining the features onboard inside the flip cover as well as on the back side of the box.
Inside the box , we found quite a lot of stuff. Starting with the cables, you have IDE, FDD and six SATA cables along with three SATA power cables as well as an eSATA converter Kit. A bracket with two USB ports and one Firewire port is also included along with a 24pin power extender for the Green Power set with its installation guide.
An HDD backup CD with its manual is also present along with the I/O shield. , Other media included is for drivers for both Vista and XP. The MSI Xtreme Audio PCI-e card based on the Creative X-Fi is also present along with its Driver CD. Finally a Crossfire video link cable, 2x 8ID tube,4x 6mm clamps, 2x 8mm clamp, 2x 10mm clamp, 2x 6/8 copper adapter, 2x 6/10 copper adapter and 2x C type tubing clips.
