Samsung teases Galaxy Note 8 in new videos
While all the attention is on the Samsung Note 8 for now, rumors of the Galaxy S9 have started to pop up. These rumors suggest that we might see a Snapdragon 845 chipset on the next flagship.
According to ice universe, who has a reasonable track record, the Galaxy S9 might be packing a Snapdragon 845 under the hood. It is not the first time we have heard of this, with an earlier leak suggesting Samsung and Qualcomm had begun working together on the chip.
We dont know much about the Snapdragon 845 yet, but it will be a powerhouse and the successor to the Snapdragon 836, a chip which itself probably won’t debut until the Pixel 2, and which is set to be more powerful than the Snapdragon 835 found in US models of the Samsung Galaxy S8.
However, going by Samsung's standards, the Snapdragon 845 will probably be exclusive to US handsets, as Samsung tends to use its home-grown Exynos chips for the rest of the world.
We will know more soon, as the hype train has left the station.
