It’s that time of the year where product announcements start off ahead of IFA and Sony is wasting no time and has announced its first curved 4K S90 TV series which will be available in 65 and 75-inch models.

Sony claims the picture quality will be as good as the highly acclaimed Sony X9 4K TV and will be less curvy compared to Samsung and LG’s offerings to offer better viewing angles and a more immersive experience. Users will experience rich colors thanks to the TRILUMINOS Display while X-tended Dynamic Range will bring true blacks and balanced contrasts. Sony’s 4K X-Reality PRO will make sure to upscale all input transmissions to 4K which is really essential.

Sony’s also using its 4.2 channel multi-angle Live Speaker System in its televisions. ClearAudio+ Discrete Processing ensures no loss of audio clarity and definition with pure 360-degree surround sound. Additionally an optional wireless subwoofer is offered in white (SWF-BR100) or a sleek black (SW-BR100B). Pricing is expected to be announced during the IFA 2014 trade show.
