According to a recent poll published by Windows Central, people were asked about which OEM they would like to build a Windows Phone. The companies listed to vote includes Sony, LG, Motorola, Xiaomi, Lenovo, ASUS, Dell, Vertu, OnePlus, and even Apple. From a total of 8125 votes, Sony received 3394 overall making it the most preferred company launch a Windows Phone.

Motorola and LG followed up with 1169 and 1099 votes respectively. Hope Sony is watching these polls, you never know they might surprise everyone- maybe at Mobile World Congress 2015? Last year, there were rumors and speculation that Sony may launch a Windows Phone device with the Xperia or VAIO brand. It’s worth noting that the VAIO brand division that was split from Sony is currently working on VAIO branded smartphones in Japan.

Additionally, Windows Central asked users if Microsoft should keep the Spartan name for the new browser  and the majority of users preferred it. This is very similar when the Project Kinect camera was announced a few years ago for the Xbox 360, and the Kinect brand was later official.
