Samsung surprised many when they moved away from the waterpoorf design introduced in the Galaxy S5 for its new Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge range of devices. But it seems the waterproof-ing spirit still lives on, albeit in a most basic form as TechSmartt found out.
Taking the S6 Edge for a swim, the device lasted over 20mins under water until it lost its breath.
After a while, when the smartphone was allowed to dry up, it did indeed started to work again, but with some issues. This is impressive for a device that’s not certified for being waterproof. But we wouldn’t advise you to take it out near a swimming pool, as it looks like the phone was just meant to withstand accidental drops or water splashes only.
