Samsung S8 users wont be able to remap Bixby dedicated button
Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy S8 in the Middle East. The phone was originally announced at the Unpacked event in New York last month but details on local and regional partnerships were announced by Samsung at an event held last night.
Samsung will be releasing the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+ at prices of AED 2799 and AED 3099. The unit will hit stores on the 28th of April, however, anyone pre-ordering is eligible to receive the phone as early as next week when Samsung starts shipping them out from the 15th of April.
Local partnerships for the S8 include a 30% discount that could be used towards booking a travel on Etihad airways. The discount is a one-time voucher but could be used for up to eight people traveling together.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+ will be the first phones powered by a 10nm processor. Other features include an almost bezel-free Infinity Display and Bixby, Samsung’s voice assistant.
During our brief hands-on with the Galaxy S8 at the launch event, we think that Samsung’s new phone is positioned to take the top spot. Stay tuned for our full review on the SamsungGalaxy S8.
